HMD Global has finally announced the successor to the midrange Nokia 7 Plus, the Nokia 8.1, at the Dubai launch event today. The device will be available in the UK and Europe starting next year on January 14th for £379.99 (€399).
In terms of specs the Nokia 8.1 comes with a 6.18inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with 18:7:9 aspect ratio and a notch on top, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal memory expandable up to 400GB via a MicroSD card.
Coming to the camera the device features a Zeiss branded dual camera setup (12MP+13MP) on the rear and a 20MP (f/2.0) sensor on the front.
The Nokia 8.1 packs a 3,500mAh battery and runs on Android One on top of Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. The base 4GB+64GB variant of the device has been priced at €399 (roughly Rs. 31,000).
The smartphone is scheduled to launch in India on December 10 at a launch event in Mumbai.
