On January 7th at CES 2019, Mobile Nations, one of the biggest digital publishers with a reach of more than 50 million consumers a month through its portfolio consisting of a broad assortment of consumer centric brands officially announced that it has acquired TechnoBuffalo, a globally recognized technology media brand.
TechnoBuffalo was started way back in the year 2009 by Jon Rettinger with a startup capital of mere $40,000 and for most of its initial years, the company was operated entirely bootstrapped but still was churning out high-quality articles on quite an awesome swiftness. Before long, after its inception, the company started to acquire a massive audience among the tech buffs and eventually became self-sustaining.
Interestingly, Mobile Nations’ portfolio also includes many of the other massively popular tech oriented media brands such as Android Central, iMore, Windows Central, CrackBerry, and CordCutters. The integration of TechnoBuffalo to this rather an amazing portfolio of brands will be an astounding opportunity for Mobile Nations to make an expert use of TechnoBuffalo’s consumer-centric approach to its content strategy.
Notably, the YouTube channel belonging to TechnoBuffalo will remain a property of Jon Rettinger and he will continue to post videos on that channel about whatever he wishes. Besides, some of TechnoBuffalo’s content creators will remain with Mobile Nations. The website’s growth strategy will be led by Nirave Gondhia who will serve as the new site manager from now on.
